Some days carry more weight than others. Monday, May 29 is Memorial Day, an observance which affords us the opportunity to remember those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country, as well as to send love to the family and friends who remain. If you are looking to send patriotic floral arrangements, memorial day flowers, or meaningful bouquets to give honor on Memorial Day, Curran’s Flowers would be privileged to help.
“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices.” Harry S. TrumanIf you or someone you know has lost a spouse, parent, sibling, son, daughter or friend through their service – let them know that they have your esteem and affection, with florals which represent your respect. Curran’s Flowers has a collection of unique and beautiful cemetery baskets. We build the baskets from locally milled hemlock, pine, and oak. We then combine beautiful plants grown right here in our greenhouses and plant them in rich loam so they are ready for you to bring to the cemetery. With proper care these baskets can last for months and provide a lasting remembrance. (Watering is required)
Did You Know? Originally known Decoration Day, Memorial Day was instituted after the Civil War to honor the fallen. The wearing of a red poppy is a tradition that began after World War I, when Lt. John McCrae wrote a poem “In Flanders’ Fields”, which told of red poppies growing among the graves of soldiers.
Our silk cemetery baskets are 100% handmade right here at our Danvers shop. Beginning with the same quality baskets we used with our live flowers, we then arrange beautiful permanent botanicals for a long-lasting and maintenance free tribute.
To adorn a memorial or to give comfort to loved ones, you can rely on the floral designers at Curran’s Flowers to create beautiful tributes and Memorial Day flowers.
